My R guy turned 9 last week. Wow. He is so smart, clever and funny. He works very hard and is easy for me to work with. We think the same way about the order of things and how to get a task done. He is very much into reading just like his dad, his favourite birthday gift is a kobo e-reader.

He acts very cool at school, waiting to stand with his friends and play soccer outside during lunch. He has a strange thing about skidding around on his knees. Playing soccer? He'll end up kicking the ball from his knees. Playing catch? He'll dive for the ball landing on his knees. Dad can tell which jeans are his simply by looking at the grass stained knees.
Here are the pumpkins, showing off the results of their creativity.
This is a major step for K. Despite his attraction to many (many) gross things he has always hated pumpkin guts. He wouldn't even come in the kitchen last year. This year he helped but only with a spoon, never his hands.
Enthusiastic pumpkin carving.
Pretty pumpkin carving.
We must always have accessories.
Mummy cleans, Daddy carves. That's always the way it has been.
This is a sort of photo journal detailing the adventures of our three monkeys. R is 6 years old, K is 5 years old, and little L is 3and the only girl. Watch out it can get wild over here. If you want to know what else I am thinking about go see my other blog walking the rocks.
